Scottish Shortbread
1-1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 pound butter, softened to room temperature
Preheat over to 325F Spray shortbread mold with cooking spray (Pam).
Mix all ingredients together. Knead thoroughly until the consistency becomes doughy. Press very firmly into mold making sure that dough fits into every part of surface. Place filled mold in oven and bake for 1 hour. Shortbread should be pale in color—not brown. Cool before removing from mold.
