Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
1 cup shortening
1 cup boiled raisins (boil in water to cover and drain
saving liquid to use later in recipe)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda in 5 Tbls raisin water
2 cups Old Fashioned oatmeal
2 cups flour
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 350F degrees for 10-15 minutes. Makes soft, fat cookies.
