Lasagne
Serves 8
1 pound ground beef
1 large can tomatoes (1# 12 oz)
1 Can, 8 oz, tomato sauce
2 envelopes spaghetti sauce
2 cloves garlic
8 oz lasagna noodles
6 oz mozzarella cheese, sliced
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Brown meat with garlic. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, cover and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in boiling water until tender, drain and rinse in cold water. Place half the noodles in a 13 x 9 baking dish, cover with a third of the sauce, add half the mozzarella and then half of the cottage cheese. Repeat layers ending with the sauce on top. Top with parmesan cheese. Bake 350F degrees, 25-30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
