Brownies
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
vanilla
nuts
Melt 2 squares unsweetened chocolate and 1/2 cup butter over low heat; cool. Beat 3 eggs and 1 cup sugar. Add the chocolate and butter mixture. Add flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla and nuts. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Frosting:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup shortening or butter
1-1/4 squares unsweetened chocolate
Stir well before boiling and boil 1 minute. Cool and beat with spoon. Do not stir when boiling or when cooling.
